Atopic Dermatitis

It is a recurrent and chronic skin disease with eczema and reddening flare-ups, acute itching, and frequente dry skin through different body areas.
It is variable in lenght and intensity and generally there are asymptomatic periods.

The skin shows anintense reaction to phisical and irritant stimulus, and it is more prone to skin infections (moulds or bacteria).


Stress and intense emotions may lead to worsening or even be responsible of an attack. Coarse material in outfits, irritant shampoos or soaps, and certain food may make things worse.

Urticaria and angioedema

The urticaria is a skin disease with red areas and really itchy wheals.
They appear suddenly and can clear as quickly as they appeared or stay during several hours. The wheals show in groups, with new ones appearing while some other vanish.

In certain skin areas (lips, hands, eyelids) it is more characteristic to suffer swelling with tingling feeling. This is known as angioedema, a deeper skin layer puffiness.
